Information We Collect

PrecondAI ("we", "our", or "the App") collects minimal information necessary to provide our smart EV preconditioning service:

• Vehicle Data: Vehicle make, model, year, and display name you provide when adding a vehicle. We do not store your vehicle's location or driving data.
• Schedule Data: Departure times, target temperatures, and repeat schedules you create. This data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData.
• Authentication Tokens: OAuth tokens from vehicle manufacturer APIs (e.g., Tesla) are stored securely in your device's Keychain and never transmitted to our servers.
• Weather Data: We fetch weather data from OpenWeatherMap based on your device location. We do not store your location history.

How We Use Your Information

• To calculate optimal preconditioning start times based on weather conditions
• To execute preconditioning commands to your vehicle via manufacturer APIs
• To send you notifications about upcoming preconditioning events
• To process subscription payments via Apple's App Store

Data Storage

All personal data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate any cloud servers that store your personal information. Authentication tokens are encrypted and stored in the iOS Keychain. Schedule and vehicle data is stored in the local SwiftData database.

Third-Party Services

• Tesla Fleet API / Smartcar API: Used to control your vehicle's climate system. These services have their own privacy policies.
• OpenWeatherMap: Used to fetch weather data for preconditioning calculations.
• Apple App Store / StoreKit: Used for subscription management. Apple handles all payment information.
• FormSubmit.co: Used for the in-app contact support form. Your email and message are transmitted to our support team.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above as necessary to provide the App's functionality.

Data Retention

All data is retained on your device until you delete the App or manually delete the data within the App. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data stored within the App
• Delete your vehicle data and schedules at any time
• Revoke vehicle API access through your vehicle manufacturer's account settings
• Cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store

Children's Privacy

PrecondAI is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
