Overview

IOCompile ("we," "our," or "us") built ResumePoint as a commercial application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our iOS application.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. ResumePoint is designed to minimize data collection and keep your information on your device whenever possible.

Information We Collect

Data You Provide

Video progress entries: Titles, platform names, timestamps, and playback positions you choose to track or that are automatically detected.
Account information: If you contact support, we may collect your name and email address.

Data Collected Automatically

Usage data: We do not collect analytics, tracking data, or usage statistics.
Device information: We do not collect device identifiers or hardware information.
Location data: We do not collect, access, or store your location.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely for the following purposes:

To provide and maintain the ResumePoint service, including tracking and storing your video playback positions.
To sync your data across your devices via iCloud (Pro feature only, with your explicit consent).
To respond to your support inquiries when you contact us.

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

All video progress data is stored locally on your device using Apple CoreData framework with encryption. We do not have access to this data.

iCloud Sync (Pro Feature)

When you enable iCloud sync, your data is transmitted through Apple iCloud infrastructure using end-to-end encryption. We do not have access to your synced data. Apple privacy practices apply to iCloud data transmission.

Feedback Submissions

When you submit feedback through the Contact Support feature, your name, email, subject, and message are sent to our Cloudflare Workers backend. This data is stored in Cloudflare D1 database and used solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not share this data with third parties.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers or analytics providers.

Third-Party Services

ResumePoint integrates with the following third-party services:

Apple iCloud: For data synchronization (Pro feature). Apple Privacy Policy applies.
Cloudflare Workers: For processing support feedback submissions. Cloudflare Privacy Policy applies.

ResumePoint does not integrate with any social media platforms, advertising networks, or third-party analytics services.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Access: You can view all your data within the ResumePoint app at any time.
Deletion: You can delete any or all of your video progress entries within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
Export: You can export your data in JSON, CSV, or PDF format from the Settings screen.
Opt-out: You can disable automatic playback monitoring at any time from Settings.

Children's Privacy

ResumePoint is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not target our application to children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
