SaySpend ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application.

Information We Collect

SaySpend is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data:

• Expense Data: Amounts, categories, merchants, dates, and notes you enter. This data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced via your personal iCloud account.
• Voice Input: When you use the voice input feature, your speech is processed on-device using Apple's Speech framework. We do not transmit or store your voice recordings.
• Receipt Images: When you scan a receipt, the image is processed on-device using Apple's Vision framework. We do not upload or store your receipt images.
• Usage Data: We do not collect analytics, tracking data, or usage patterns.

How We Use Your Information

Your expense data is used solely to provide the app's core functionality:

• Tracking and categorizing your expenses
• Generating statistics and reports
• Managing budgets and alerts
• Syncing across your devices via iCloud (when enabled)

Data Storage

• Local Storage: All expense data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData.
• iCloud Sync: When you enable iCloud Sync, data is stored in your personal iCloud account using CloudKit. We cannot access your iCloud data.
• No Server Storage: We do not operate any servers that store your personal data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Your data remains on your device and in your personal iCloud account.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive only a confirmation of purchase status, not your payment details.

Contact Support

If you use the Contact Support feature, the information you provide (name, email, message) is sent to our support email. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

Children's Privacy

SaySpend is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Data Retention

Your data is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. If iCloud Sync is enabled, data persists in your iCloud account until you delete it.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• Delete individual expenses at any time within the app
• Export your data via the CSV export feature
• Disable iCloud Sync at any time in Settings
• Delete all app data by uninstalling the app

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
