VitalDecode ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application.

2. Information We Collect

• Device model and iOS version (for compatibility)

4. Data Storage and Security

All your data is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit your lab results, biomarker data, or personal health information to our servers.

Data Comparison Data Transmission: When you use the Data Comparison feature, your biomarker data is sent to OpenAI (api.openai.com) for processing. This includes:

• Biomarker names, values, units, and reference ranges from your lab results
• Your age and gender (from your profile)

This data is processed by OpenAI's gpt-4o-mini model to generate data comparisons against reference ranges. OpenAI uses this data only to provide the comparison service and does not use it for training their AI models. You must explicitly consent to this data transmission before each comparison session. You can revoke this consent at any time in Settings. The data comparison does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

5. HealthKit Data

If you choose to enable HealthKit integration, VitalDecode may read lab result data from Apple's Health app. This data remains under your control through Apple's Health privacy settings. We never share HealthKit data with third parties.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Apple HealthKit: For health data integration (optional). We never share HealthKit data with third parties.
• OpenAI: For data comparison. Your biomarker data (values, reference ranges, age, gender) is transmitted to OpenAI (api.openai.com) for processing. OpenAI provides equivalent data protection and does not use your data for AI training. OpenAI Privacy Policy

7. Data Retention

All data is stored on your device until you delete it. You can delete all data at any time through the app's Settings. Uninstalling the app removes all stored data.

8. Children's Privacy

VitalDecode is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data stored in the app
• Export your data in CSV format
• Delete your data at any time
• Opt out of HealthKit integration
• Revoke data comparison consent at any time in Settings → AI Data Comparison
