This Privacy Policy describes how Glide ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Glide iOS application (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Habit data: Habits you create (name, icon, color, frequency), check-in entries (intensity, notes, dates), and reminder settings.
- Support messages: If you contact us through the in-app support form, we collect your name, email, and message content.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data: We do not collect analytics or tracking data. The App does not include any third-party analytics SDKs.
- Device data: We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the App's core functionality (habit tracking, momentum scoring, reminders)
- To respond to your support requests
- To verify and restore In-App Purchases through Apple's StoreKit framework
- To improve the App's features and user experience (based on aggregate, non-personal usage patterns)
3. Data Storage and Sync
Local storage: Your habit data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData.
iCloud sync: If iCloud is enabled on your device, your habit data syncs across your devices through your private iCloud container. This data is end-to-end encrypted by Apple and accessible only to you. We cannot access this data.
App Group: Habit data is shared with the Glide widget extension via an App Group container for displaying today's habits on your home screen.
4. Data Sharing
We do not share your personal information with any third parties. Specifically:
- We do not sell your data
- We do not share your data with advertisers
- We do not use your data for advertising purposes
- We do not share your data with data brokers
Service providers: We use the following services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Apple StoreKit 2: For In-App Purchase processing. Apple's privacy policy applies. We do not receive your payment information.
- Apple CloudKit: For iCloud sync. Your data is stored in your private iCloud container. We cannot access it.
- Cloudflare Workers (feedback service): When you submit the in-app support form, your message is transmitted through our feedback backend hosted on Cloudflare Workers and forwarded to our support email.
5. Data Retention
- Habit data: Retained until you delete the habit or uninstall the App. iCloud-synced data is retained until you delete it from iCloud.
- Support messages: Retained for up to 12 months after resolution, then deleted.
- Purchase records: Stored by Apple as part of your Apple ID purchase history. We do not store payment details.
6. Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: View your data by exporting it (Settings → Export as CSV/JSON/PDF)
- Delete: Delete habits in-app, or delete all data by uninstalling the App
- Disable iCloud sync: Turn off iCloud for the App in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Glide
- Disable notifications: iOS Settings → Glide → Notifications
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Users
If you are located outside the United States, please note that your data may be processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
9. Security
We use reasonable security measures to protect your data. Habit data stored locally is protected by iOS device encryption. iCloud-synced data is encrypted by Apple. Support form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS.
The App offers a Biometric Lock feature (Glide Plus) that requires Face ID or Touch ID to unlock the App.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
