Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the SkinStreak iOS application ("the app") provided by SkinStreak ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which applies to the app in addition to these Terms.

1. License & Eligibility

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services terms. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA/UK) to use the app. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or use the app to build a competing product, except as expressly permitted by applicable law.

2. Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal

SkinStreak offers the following auto-renewable subscriptions in the "SkinStreak Pro" group, purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system:

Auto-renewal disclosure (required by Apple):

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the rate shown above (prices may be localized by Apple for your region).
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings after purchase, or via Settings → Manage Subscription inside the app.

3. Free Trial

The 7-day free trial is offered on the Pro Annual plan and grants full Pro access for 7 days. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial converts into a paid annual subscription at $19.99/year. SkinStreak sends a local notification 24 hours before a trial ends. If the trial ends without conversion, the app automatically falls back to the Free tier — your free features are never disabled. Any unused portion of a trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

4. One-Time Purchase — SkinStreak Forever (BYO)

SkinStreak Forever is a non-consumable, one-time purchase of $39.99 USD that permanently unlocks all Pro features. It is designed for "bring your own key" use: AI features run through your own GLM API key, which you obtain directly from the provider. You are responsible for (a) obtaining and keeping that key valid, (b) your compliance with your provider's terms, and (c) any usage costs your provider charges you. Your key is stored only on your device in the iOS Keychain. If you do not provide a key, the one-time purchase still unlocks all Pro features that do not depend on cloud AI.

5. Free Tier

The Free tier includes, permanently and without payment: unlimited ingredient conflict detection, unlimited barcode scanning and ingredient lookups, unlimited check-ins and streaks (with Streak Freeze), manual routine scheduling, local progress photos, and 2 deep AI scans per week. We do not paywall features that are advertised as free.

6. Restore Purchases & Refunds

You can restore any purchase on a device signed in with the same Apple ID via Settings → Restore Purchases. Purchases and refunds are processed by Apple; refund requests are handled by Apple Support according to Apple's policies. Where local law grants refund rights beyond Apple's process, those rights apply.

7. Content, Data Sources & Attribution

• Product and ingredient data are provided by the Open Beauty Facts community database, licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). We make no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of community-sourced ingredient data. world.openbeautyfacts.org
• Conflict rules and routine guidance are informed by public educational resources of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD). SkinStreak is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the AAD.
• Skin metrics are deterministic measurements computed on-device from photo quality and lighting; they can vary with capture conditions and are estimates, not clinical measurements. AI-generated text is labeled "AI insight" and may contain errors — it never alters your measured numbers.
• You retain rights to your photos and data. You grant us no rights beyond what is technically required to process a feature you explicitly request (e.g., a confirmed deep-scan upload).

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: upload images of others without their consent; attempt to identify individuals from biometric data; abuse, overload, or circumvent technical limits of the app or its services; or use the app in violation of applicable laws.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that conflict rules or AI insights will be accurate or complete. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or relating to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any damages related to decisions made about your health or skincare routine. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination & Data Deletion

You can stop using the app and delete all your data at any time via Settings → Delete all my data, or by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. Sections 9–10 survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will update the date above and display a notice in the app for material changes before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law & Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where the consumer-protection law of your country of residence grants you mandatory rights.
