VitalDecode Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading and using VitalDecode, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

VitalDecode is an iOS application that allows you to scan, manage, and track your lab values and blood test results. The app provides:

• OCR scanning of lab report documents
• Biomarker display with reference ranges
• Data comparison (requires OpenAI API key)
• Data trend tracking over time
• Apple Health integration

3. Medical Disclaimer

Disclaimer: Users of this app must seek a doctor's advice in addition to using this app and before making any medical decisions. This app is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

• The app is a data reference tool for comparing lab values to published reference ranges
• Results and data comparisons should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice
• Do not ignore professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information in this app
• Reference ranges are for data comparison purposes only and do not constitute medical interpretation
• The app does not provide health measurements, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations

4. Subscription and Payments

VitalDecode offers in-app subscriptions:

• Monthly: $4.99/month
• Annual: $29.99/year
• Lifetime: $79.99 one-time purchase

Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Manage subscriptions in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

5. Free Tier

Free users receive 3 complimentary scans. After using all free scans, a Pro subscription is required to continue scanning.

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy of data you manually enter
• Maintaining the security of your device
• Any API keys you provide for data comparison features
• Using the app in compliance with applicable laws

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of VitalDecode are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to any medical decisions made based on the app's output.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of VitalDecode is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
