How does MoonShift calculate my recovery score?

Your recovery score (0-100) is calculated using five weighted factors:

How do I connect Apple Health?

1. Go to Settings → Apple Health (HealthKit)

2. Tap "Learn More" to understand what data we access

3. Toggle "Sync Sleep to HealthKit"

4. Grant permission in the Apple Health dialog

You can revoke access anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → MoonShift.

Why isn't my sleep data showing up?

How does the caffeine cutoff work?

MoonShift calculates your caffeine cutoff based on:

After the cutoff time, you'll see a warning to stop caffeine intake to protect your sleep.

What are transition day plans?

When your shift type changes (e.g., day shift to night shift), MoonShift creates a transition plan with two sleep phases:

  1. Short recovery sleep: A 4-hour nap after your last shift
  2. Full night sleep: A 7-hour sleep at the new schedule's night

This split-sleep approach helps your body adjust to the new rhythm.

How do I set up a rotation pattern?

1. Tap "Add Shift" in the Week tab

2. Scroll down and tap "Use Rotation Pattern"

3. Choose from presets like "3 Day → 3 Night → 3 Off"

4. Select a start date

5. Tap "Apply" to generate shifts for the entire cycle

What's included in MoonShift Pro?

How do I cancel my subscription?

1. Open Settings on your iPhone

2. Tap your name at the top

3. Tap "Subscriptions"

4. Find MoonShift and tap it

5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

You'll keep Pro access until the end of your billing period.

My notifications aren't working

1. Go to Settings → Notifications → MoonShift

2. Ensure "Allow Notifications" is on

3. Check that "Time Sensitive Notifications" is enabled

4. In MoonShift, go to Settings → Notifications and ensure it's toggled on

5. Make sure your iPhone isn't in Do Not Disturb mode during notification times

Is my data safe?

Yes. All your data is stored locally on your device. We don't operate any cloud servers for your personal data. Health data is accessed through Apple's secure HealthKit framework and never leaves your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
