ParkPing ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use ParkPing. We follow Apple's privacy principles and do not collect any data from you.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- No personal information: We don't ask for your name, email, or phone number (except when you voluntarily contact support).
- No location tracking: Parking location is saved only on your device when you choose to. It is never sent to any server.
- No analytics or tracking: We don't use any analytics SDKs, tracking libraries, or advertising networks.
- No account required: ParkPing works entirely offline. No sign-up, no login.
Data Stored On Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework:
- Parking session history (start time, duration, status)
- Saved parking location (only when you manually save it)
- App settings (selected duration, street sweeping schedule)
This data never leaves your device. It is not backed up to any server. If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed.
Permissions
- Notifications: Used to send parking expiry reminders. We don't use notifications for marketing.
- Location (When In Use): Used only when you tap "Save Location" to record where you parked. Location is never tracked in the background.
- Siri: Used for the "I parked" shortcut. Siri requests are processed on-device.
In-App Purchases
ParkPing offers a one-time PRO unlock ($3.99) via Apple's StoreKit. Purchase processing is handled entirely by Apple. We receive only a confirmation of purchase — no payment details are shared with us.
Contact Support Form
If you use the in-app Contact Support form, the information you provide (name, email, subject, message) is sent to our support backend to help us respond to your inquiry. This information is used solely for support purposes and is not shared with third parties.
Children's Privacy
ParkPing does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for all ages.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
